I was born in Germany, grew up in Sri-Lanka and left in 1993 to study business and finance in Melbourne, Australia. I have lived here since, but visit Colombo regularly where I have many friends from my old school OCS. I am a partner in a health food business in Colombo, and in Melbourne my business interests range from cars to tea. I like to work in things that interest me so that I can look forward to Monday mornings.
My passions and interests include driving fast (usually on a race track), SCUBA diving (my granduncle was Rodney Jonklass so I guess it’s in my blood somewhere), 4WDing, travelling outdoors, gym, cycling, and sharing good food with good company.
And though I must abide in alien climes. My soul will one day home return. To places better known in better times…

Hi, I just came across your blog whilst looking up the Commons cafe in Sri Lanka. I love Sri Lanka an the cafes there so can understand your passion. Lats year I spent a total of 6 months in SL and set up a business making colourful eco bags with local women called Bags of Colour. I also lived in Melbourne and studied at La Trobe uni, its a great place.
I am looking to get interest in Bags of Colour in Australia, maybe through the Sri Lankan community so thought I would contact you to see if you have any ideas.
